In the past several months you’ve published articles about developing the land at 128th Street near the I-5 interchange in south Everett. Thank goodness the local community is against it. I hope they keep on protesting. We don’t need more development; south Snohomish County is already over-developed.
I remember when there was no 128th, just forest there. Then it was put through for Boeing employees to access the freeway, then about 12 years ago it was widened and now look at it. Do we really need more? I don’t think so.
The architectural firm that was recently mentioned wants to make big bucks developing a “pedestrian friendly” village of some sort. As far as the strip malls are concerned, I say there’s nothing wrong with them. They are people-friendly and are functional, but we don’t need more of anything.
Why can’t the undeveloped land stay the way it is? We don’t need to disturb it. It’s just fine the way it is. I say just leave it alone!
