Once again it has come up that the Edmonds School District is looking at outsourcing work. We received an e-mail recently stating that the school board will be looking at outsourcing the district print shop services. It not only means jobs being lost in the district but also means we will lose a vital resource in the district.
Taking the print shop out of the district may look and sound good on paper, but talk to the employees and community members who use this resource daily. The service received from the district print shop is helping educate our students every day. We need to let the school board know that we do not want jobs outsourced. The copier service was outsourced several years ago, now the printing services. What next?
