Unsolicited e-mails for pornography should never have been allowed in the first place. Some are extremely offensive in the subject line and some are obscure enough so that you unaware until you open them. We regulate the movies that our children are allowed to view, and we regulate the magazines by putting them behind counters. Why can we not regulate pornography sent to our e-mails?
My solution would be this. The subject line of such junk should state that it is rated X for adults only. No vulgar language and no suggestive comments. These solicitations should only be sent to those who ask for them. I am sure a database could be set up so that individuals seeking this kind of entertainment could be placed on a mailing list and the rest of us could be spared.
I won’t even allow my 14-year-old to have e-mail due to this on-going problem. It is time to do something about this and stop pornographic spam.
