We have always looked forward to the amazing art festival, Fresh Paint, that was previously located along the waterfront by Lombardi’s, Anthony’s, etc. This year we were sad to see it moved to downtown Everett. Every event seems to have been moved there.
The Schack Garage Sale makes sense to be there since it runs in front of the Schack! We always enjoy that event.
Sorticulture used to be at Legion park area with beautiful grass and treed surroundings. When that moved we tried it but after last year’s experience we chose not to attend again. We used to go regularly to the Sunday Market when it was at Boxcar Park. We tried the downtown version but again felt it lost something.
While at Fresh Paint we saw people at the Sunday Market and a long line at Funko. With so many events, parking is harder and basically, nothing feels special or unique.
Artists deserve the beautiful backdrop of the marina and waterfront. Attendees deserve the unique experience as well. We know people who chose not to attend this year just because it moved into downtown. Some changes are not needed nor appreciated.
