This letter is intended to say thank you to all of the volunteers, full timers, administrators, and others who helped make Snohomish Fire and Rescue’s 2002 Recruit School a success. As a rookie volunteer firefighter, I am proud to work with so many quality individuals dedicated to making our community (and our nation) a safer place for all Americans. One thing that makes America strong is its vast, multi-leveled infrastructure of emergency response services. This includes EMS, police, military, and more.
Anything we can do to fortify these layers of security helps to strengthen our nation as a whole and protect us against further terrorism. Plus, any time we serve others, we become better people, and better people make a better nation. As we prepare to mark the one-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, I encourage everyone to consider volunteering in some capacity. There is still a lot of work to do, and workers are needed.
Thank you again to everyone at Snohomish Fire &Rescue for all you do.
I’d like to personally thank all the firefighters, day and night crews, who have taken the time to work with me personally this summer (you know who you are). It is an honor to be part of your team. Thanks also to every American out there who continues to remember our fallen.
Snohomish
