Ferry costs cited in audit last year

The Legislature has done little to reign in spending, instead choosing tax/fee increases to fix the budget issues.

Voters should view the state auditor’s Web site to see the recommendations from various performance audits done on our state agencies. Anyone can view the database and see great ways to save money and/or make government more efficient. The state auditor, Democrat Brian Sonntag, had the audits performed under provisions of Initiative 900 and there are no politics. The performance audits are purely based on numbers and accepted performance ideas.

Just to let everyone know, the travel reimbursements for the ferry workers were mentioned in a performance audit early last year.
