Fireworks noise OK one day a year

I just read from noisy complainers about the fireworks around and on the Fourth of July. I support no fireworks except on the Fourth, but it stops there. I personally enjoy the loud explosions and fireworks, especially in the neighborhoods when neighbors get together an put on their own shows. One day a year Americans can cut loose make noise and celebrate this great country.

In this day an age with all the stress, our citizens should be able to make some noise one day a year. I have a boxer dog who doesn’t care and I served in a major city as a firefighter and did spend several nights dealing with firework issues. Yes, some parents are dumb and don’t watch their kids, but many are like that year around, and injuries happen. So I say, carry on and enjoy our independence.
