Mike McGavick wants to require drug tests for mothers on public assistance. While some mothers may be drug abusers, what is Mr. McGavick’s plan for all of the children who would be removed from their mothers?
The foster care system in this state is in a mess now. There are not enough foster homes for the children in need currently. Is he going to take all of these children home with him? If Mr. McGavick’s solution (foster care) is not fixed, this could turn into another Republican train wreck.
