I just read the Monday letter condemning The Herald for all the articles about Shawna Forde (“Try reporting on illegal immigrants”).
As someone who knows this woman, I cannot detect any biased reporting being done by The Herald. These are issues the community needs to know about for many reasons, but the most important is that it prepares us and educates us about people like this who live among us, appearing to be perfectly normal, but obviously are not.
There is also the human side. It’s the side that says a young girl was allegedly killed by this ruthless woman and her sidekicks. It’s the side every parent fears and when terrible things like this happens, we shouldn’t shy away from it, but try to see it for what it truly is and try to protect our own children from it.
The truth is, what you are reading in the paper is the whole truth, and that is very sad indeed.
