Fortunate to have Lovick on the job

Your April 10 article concerning John Lovick and the Oso landslide was reassuring but not surprising. (“County executive offers steady support to families, crews.”) In this most tragic and difficult of situations, Executive Lovick has assembled a strong team and now is providing calm and constant support, coordination and encouragement. This is his management style and is to be admired. But his skill and thoughtful professionalism do not hide his sincerity and humanity. We are fortunate he is so much “on the job.”
