Why is it, when it snows, no matter how little, garbage trucks are “unable” to get out to pick up garbage and recycling? All other companies and service providers manage to get out and do their jobs. And why are they allowed to charge for services not provided?
Does the lawn mowing service charge if it snows? No. Sure, I can see where there are some rare streets they can’t get up, even with chains on. But apparently it’s beneath the dignity of garbage truck drivers to even put chains on for the hills that they are able to safely ascend and descend with chains.
I’m sure glad the grocery truck, plow truck, transit buses, police, firemen, ambulances, etc. aren’t too good to put chains on as needed.
