Go take a look at crumbly structure

I have a simple suggestion. Before you decide if you want to support keeping the Collins building as a monument to the Everett waterfront and the city of Everett, go down and inspect the building close up and personal. Look at the rear of the structure, the hundreds of windows, old wood and crumbling foundation. Quite frankly, to me it looks like a poor investment.

Of course, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.” But remember another old saying: “The further away you get, the better it looks.” Maybe we could put the Equator inside to get rid of another eyesore on the waterfront.

If you still like it, volunteer to wash the windows once a month to keep it looking like a “showpiece” of Everett’s history.

Don’t get me wrong. I am a history buff.
