Grateful thanks to big-hearted rescuer at Denny’s

With all the hateful speech and violence happening in this country one starts to wonder if there are any good people around. I’m here to say they are. Monday morning, Feb. 20, we had an early appointment in South Everett. Leaving the house in a hurry, I just grabbed my purse without thinking ahead. On the way back we decided to stop at Denny’s on Pacific for breakfast. Had a good meal and I wrote a check for payment. That’s when trouble started. Denny’s does not accept checks and I had left the house without credit cards, or any other ID for that matter. What to do? Suddenly a lady appeared from one of the booths, handing the cashier a large bill as payment for our meals. She was like an angel. I protested but she would have none of it, saying “You just pay it forward.” I don’t know her name or anything. I just want to thank her so much for her generosity and yes, I will pay it forward. Also, thank you for being one of the many good people in this country.
