Just a quick, overdue memo concerning the person that delivers our newspaper. He has not missed a day that I can remember. In snow and heavy rain, he takes the time and trouble to put our paper in a plastic bag so it doesn’t get soggy. This past winter, during the heavy snow, with the snow plows going, he had to get out of his car and wade through the snow to properly deliver our paper. I would like him to know how greatly appreciated he is. The moderate tip that I pay with the bill hardly seems adequate for all the effort that he puts into his job. I guess that all I can do is say “Thank you very much.”
