Hard to celebrate holidays with war

It’s very hard to feel joy and comfort this holiday season when I think of what is happening to “America the beautiful, land of the free and home of the brave.”

Every day, when I see more of our young men and women killed or maimed in an unjustified war, I think of that poor excuse of a president who, in essence, is no different than a draft-dodger. He didn’t have the guts to go into battle when he had the opportunity. Yet he has no problem sending someone else.

If he were any kind of a man, he would volunteer himself, his daughters and ask for all of you out there who foolishly think this is a justifiable war to volunteer. Then he could lead all of you into Iraq and you-all could secure freedom according to “your definition.”

I served three years in the Army with 25 months overseas. I was proud to serve.

I ask every person out there to answer the question: If Iraq only raised dates, pomegranates and oranges would Bush have invaded? And as far as being moral and religious, he is the biggest hypocrite out there. No moral, decent, compassionate Christian in the world would “covet” wealth the way Bush does.

Stop the outsourcing. Any corporation that moves to foreign soil should be taxed as a foreign corporation and award the corporations that stay here and retain American citizen workers. I realize Bush is not totally responsible for this, but he certainly has done nothing to discourage outsourcing!

Also, let’s do away with the political parties and just become good, dedicated American citizens. Stop all the greed and hypocrisy. Let’s bring back America the beautiful to every citizen.
