State Auditor Brian Sonntag has served Washingtonians for the past eight years by promoting accountability and fiscal integrity in state and local government. He has worked with the highest standards of integrity and independence.

Unfortunately Sonntag’s opponent, Dick McEntee, has made inaccurate accusations regarding Sonntag’s solid record of professionalism. Politics is not for the timid. But integrity and honesty – as the GOP is quick to remind us – is required from any challenger. These qualities have been found wanting in the creative fabrications of Sonntag’s challenger.

In fact, no Republican signed up to run for the job against Sonntag during the regular candidate-filing week in late July. So, the state Republican Party persuaded McEntee to enter his name. Do your community a favor and vote for a known quantity with a solid track record. Re-elect Brian Sonntag for state auditor come November.
