Harold McCord had lots of chances to prevent his own shooting. He could have stopped committing crimes so he didn’t go to jail. He could have resisted the urge to escape. He could have given up with empty hands held high. McCord chose his path in life. I feel sorry for his family, but it’s time they faced the fact he was a career criminal, not an innocent.
