There is very much sympathy these days for those facing foreclosures and short sales. My sympathy, too!
How about some protections for the “normal” homeowners and homesellers, though?
For years I have been trying to sell my house, in vain. The “normal” sale prices are “forced” lower, based on the standard of the prices of foreclosed and short-sale examples. The “normal” property values and prices are down, when in some cases the property taxes are up.
I have already lost $95,000 on paper; I am not alone. How much more do we have to lose after working hard, paying taxes, paying the loan regularly? Is this present reality the reward? That is unfair.
There should be some legal protections for the “normal” homeowners and homesellers to stop slipping down so fast, losing their assets. This protection should apply to us immediately, before it’s too late.
