We are against the KRKO radio towers that the station wants to operate near Snohomish. In weighing the severity of the possible harm to the possible benefit of the project, one cannot conclude that risking possible adverse health effects to humans, especially children, is worth the potential benefit of another AM radio station.
We live in a community where there are a lot of children and babies. Besides, a few schools are directly in the path of the electromagnetic energy from the towers.
It would be criminal to have those towers in our valley. There are 19 schools within 3.7 miles of the antennas. Valley View Middle School sits upon Fiddler’s Bluff in the Kenwanda neighborhood approximately three-quarters of a mile west of the towers.
I am pretty sure that none of the KRKO executives live near (within 3.7 miles) the site of the radio towers. They would not want that for their children’s sake. Also, I do not believe that any of the ESPN company owners even care about our children’s well-being, our farmland and the wildlife we have left, as long as they make money.
Please, we urge you to help us fight and oppose the construction of those radio towers near Snohomish. It would be criminal to even let that happen. We have children and babies and their health should be much more important than anything else.
