The Nov. 11 Herald did a great disservice to our country, our military, our citizens and itself by not using the front page for a tribute to the many, many people, military and otherwie, who have over the years fought and died for the freedoms we enjoy in the USA.
Not only should this have been done for the above, and for those who are actively serving in a war situation presently, but also again to remember the innocent ones, including young children, who died in vicious acts of war Sept. 11. As the saying goes: “lest we forget.” We must never become compacent.
