His case defies logic, economics

Regarding the article, “Everett Councilman Ron Gipson denies harassment allegations”: It’s no wonder that the county has no money. I’ve read the article three times, and the result is the same: Ron Gipson gets to sit at home for 18 months, paid, while he is investigated for wrongdoing. It’s apparent that he did indeed conduct himself inappropriately, because three women were paid a total of $750,000 to settle a lawsuit against him. Then, he is told to stay home for another 30 days, this time unpaid, to think about what he has done. I think it’s obvious what he has done — he’s taken 18 months of free money, and then given his job back. Wow. And then he has the audacity to run for re-election? Wow again. Oh, and by expressing my opinion, I hope I am not sued by John Koster, who is looking for a mega payday for losing his job.
