I agree with the Oct. 18 letter, “Enforce illegal immigration law.” I am 61 years old. In my younger years the migrant workers would come through and pick the fruit yearly. They
would stay in the little houses at the field and move on to the next field or crop. They would save their money and go back home until the next year. Now they stay in these little communities outside towns and never leave. At least half are illegal.
I read in the paper our dear governor said we don’t have enough pickers now. That’s a lie and she knows it. There are plenty of pickers, they just don’t want to pick any more or move on. They’ve gotten spoiled building homes, not just the roofing, but the whole house at a lower wage than standard. But, they are satisfied with that because usually more than one family live together. Some don’t pay taxes or pay into anything.
Who is paying for all these kids the illegal immigrants are popping out that are U.S. citizens? Our schools are filling with them. Our state has known this for a long time and done nothing! I also read that 20 percent of the illegal immigrants caught have criminal records. I for one am tired of our most liberal state. Come one, come all — Free! Free! Free!
