It’s been reported that Seattle Hill Road in Snohomish County may be closed for months due to a sink hole and road washout during the recent rains. I would hope that county officials examine the possibility of culpability on the part of various contractors that recently clear cut the hill for development. Were the retaining walls put up by the contractors adequate, was the drainage proper? Will the county do its usual handshake with developers and contractors and pass the cost on to the taxpayers?
