I find it difficult to understand why the business community of the USA has not united in a massive, noisy complaint regarding the media’s focus of attention on the current national election fiasco. This has drawn attention away from the all-out annual advertising blitz to draw consumers into retail stores to purchase merchandise designed to assist persons celebrate the cultural-religious holiday, Christmas. I do recognize, however, that several retail stores waited until after Halloween to display traditional and expensive gifts.
