I wish to express my frustration in regards to the Aug. 21 article in which Doug McNall, chief of staff for Prosecuting Attorney Jim Krider, claims that he did not know he was supposed to be filling out the necessary forms required by the county payroll officials when he was taking days off. (“Prosecutor’s aid under fire”).
I find this an outrageous and lame excuse for an official whose salary exceeds $85,000 per year, paid for by taxpayers such as myself.
If the computerized printouts he has so conveniently provided do indeed reflect an accounting for his absences, then surely he would not mind if a thorough audit be performed by the county auditor’s office. I, therefore, appeal to all of the Snohomish County tax payers to please demand this take place, and then we shall know if Mr. McNall and Mr. Krider abide by the same high standard they set for the rest of us. I know that I am so very tired of being cheated.
