Telephone soliciting is an invasion of my privacy and I am sick and tired of it. I will never buy anything from a company that uses this method of selling.
On the day my brother died, when concerned people were calling my home, I also received a call from someone who said, “Hi! if your windshield is cracked” and then, “Do you need new windows?” The clincher was, “Today is your lucky day…”
Several years ago we paid our local telephone company an extra $18 fee because they promised they would screen out all telephone solicitors. What a scam! We received more of those calls than ever.
Over the last few years I have stayed on the line long enough to say – “Take my name off your list and never call again.” That hasn’t worked either. Does anyone have a solution?
