Isn’t this vote buying?

The president and vice president say they want to keep people warm this winter. It is now only September, yet the president is going to “trade” 30 million barrels of crude oil from the national strategic reserves. Mr. Clinton is going to trade it to those big corporations that Mr. Gore has been vilifying all these months. Excuse me, but didn’t we taxpayers first purchase this crude oil? Isn’t Bill just trying to buy a few votes for Al?

In my view it would be more cost effective for the current administrator and his protege to drive a fuel-oil truck directly to our neighborhoods. Al could pump refined heating oil from the outside of the house, while Bill goes inside to see what can be done there, keeping everybody warm.
