It would be smart for Kundu to quit

Regarding the Thursday article, “Marysville official links race to school success”:

Today I address him as Mr. Kundu tomorrow, it will not be so formal. If he wants to go to into a philosophical debate about big and little brains go to the scientific level. But do not bring your small, semi-intelligent brain to mainstream Marysville. As a Tulalip Tribal member and a Marysville tax-paying citizen, I did not vote for you, and I am embarrassed for the folks who voted and still stand behind you. My mother is a prominent Tulalip Tribal elder and my father is of proud English/Irish descent.

Welcoming diversity is important in our community, but Kundu seems to want to separate us. My MPHS senior grew up in the Marysville school system with a charismatic/artistry 3.4 GPA and my MPHS Freshman is a 4.0 soccer playing/over- achiever. Though I agree all level of achievers should get equal opportunities.

His comments are offensive, prejudicial and arrogant. I realize he won a seat on the school board by riding the skirts of the last teacher’s strike, but he is not what the future of this community needs. I am suggesting Kundu resign immediately, he is not what our community or our future needs.
