I usually do not write letters to the editor, but letter writer Erv Hoglund’s literary license with the term pro-choice and afterward, in parentheses (pro-abortion) really screamed at me (“Upcoming election: Select pro-life candidates,” Oct. 9). These are not synonymous. I am pro-choice, which I have been led to believe was the woman’s right to have or not to have an abortion. I am not pro-abortion. I believe that we, as men, have no right to be putzing around with this issue in the first place. If someone chooses to be a pro-lifer, that’s fine, but how about those people finding a way to help take care of the unwanted babies they claim they are trying to protect?
