Join Lake Stevens Aquafest Royalty for holiday events

For the past nine months as the 2017 Miss Aquafest, I’ve done so many things. My royalty sisters and I have volunteered at many events such as the Letter Carrier’s Food Drive, United Way Day of Caring and Stuff a Bus with Volunteers of America Western Washington. We’ve also participated in many parades over the summer and had our hands full during Aquafest weekend with all the amazing events.

With the holiday season upon us, many families are struggling to provide food and gifts for their loved ones. This is why the Miss Aquafest royalty partnered with Volunteers of America Western Washington to Stuff a Bus full of donated toys, non-perishable foods and household items for families in need in Sky Valley and throughout Snohomish County.

The Miss Aquafest Royalty will be at many more events this holiday season and we’d love for you to join us! One of our upcoming events is the Military Families Christmas Party that will take place Sunday, Dec. 17 at Lake Stevens High School. We’ll be handing out toys, painting faces and helping with many fun games and activities for military personnel and their families. You can also tell Santa what you want for Christmas!

I’ve been with the Miss Aquafest program for two years. I began in this program as the Miss Aquafest Community Service Queen. In 2017 I competed and was awarded the Miss Aquafest title. During these two years I’ve learned so much, such as important life skills I’ll need in my future. From public speaking and interview etiquette, this program has changed my life. My confidence has grown and I’ve made amazing friends. The Miss Aquafest program has made a direct impact on me and the way I live my life.

I would recommend the Miss Aquafest Pageant to any young girl. It is an amazing program with unlimited opportunities. The 2018 Miss Aquafest pageant will be April 14 at the Everett Performing Arts Center. Registration is now open with an Early Bird Discount available from now until Dec. 31. For paperwork or more information about this program, go to www.aquafest.com.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store for me and my Royalty sisters. What an incredible year it has been so far. I want to say thank you to the Lake Stevens Community for this opportunity and for making it so special.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
