I am responding to the complaint about the traffic light in Sultan from a writer to the Street Smarts column (Oct. 9). I am a Gold Bar resident and have traveled U.S. 2 for many years. Most of the people who have to travel this stretch of highway know better than to be on the highway on a Sunday afternoon. This traffic light will and has saved many lives in its short life. Inconvenience is a small price to pay.
As a local resident, I am asking all those people like the letter writer who have heartburn over waiting for this light to please take I-90 instead of U.S. 2. We would all appreciate it!
