Why is it that because people have a small-breed dog that they believe it’s OK to take them wherever they go? I have seen this countless times but, in just the last two weeks, I have seen dogs in Target five times, once in a movie theater and two times in the grocery store!
These are not service animals for the disabled — but people’s pets! Many people are allergic to and/or scared of dogs (regardless of size) and it’s also a health code violation in places that sell food!
I love dogs and have two Jack Russell terriers but I don’t take them shopping with me — and everywhere else! If people feel that their little dog cannot be away from them while they go to the store then maybe they should choose a different breed. And why do stores not enforce their no-dog-policies? We cannot all be Paris Hilton, so keep your dogs at home, please!
