Regarding the picture you ran Sunday showing the torn fuselage on a Southwestern airline flight:
It has been well publicized, and is further restated at the start of every flight, that the use of some electronic devices (specifically those that transmit) on a flight is forbidden and may interfere with the airplane’s navigational equipment. And yet when there is an emergency situation aboard an airplane, the first thing some passengers do is turn on their cell phones to take pictures, thereby making an already dangerous situation even more dangerous. The reasoning for doing this escapes me.
