Of course we should keep the “10 Guidelines for Social Behavior” right were they are, and that’s just what the Ten Commandments are – a perfect guideline for social behavior that promotes the most peace, harmony, health, longevity, prosperity, etc., that life has to offer.
Their practical simplicity indicates a much higher source of inspiration than we could ever get from lawyers and politicians who seem to like to complicate things.
Don’t murder, don’t steal, don’t lie and bear false witness, don’t cheat on your family (adultery), do respect your parents, etc. Who, with self-honesty, would fault this guideline which protects society and forms the cornerstone of our justice system? Those who do so would rob us of high standards and are often social subversives from the political left.
For those who can’t relate to God just insert an extra “o” and make the word Good. That would equate to the intent, and for those who would replace all things sacred with all things sleazy by twisting our Constitution, it’s time to shoot them down.
I thank and support those in the Everett city government who are fighting to retain the monument and encourage them to accept any legal and financial help offered, if needed.
