I am a Vietnam veteran. Maybe the Vietnam War was “right,” maybe it wasn’t. Regardless, I served my country with honor.
I do know this: while I was serving my country, putting my life on the line, John Kerry was meeting with the enemy. They still consider him one of their heroes! When I came home, I quickly learned not to tell anyone I had been to Vietnam. I was afraid to wear my uniform, because John Kerry and his organization told everyone I was a murderer and a “baby killer.”
Now, 30 years later, John Kerry wants to let the United Nations decide our defense policy. I put my life on the line for my country. When I came home, many people shunned me. Now, many people want to make John Kerry president of this country.
I’m proud of what I did, but the way I was treated 30 years ago still hurts. Seeing John Kerry being promoted for president of the United States really hurts.
