Kids, adults given mixed message

Regarding the news, “Snohomish County judge won’t be charged with DUI”: Now I am really confused, and I’m an adult! When I was growing up, I was taught to obey the law. Judges were supposed to uphold the law; and now they are above the law? Would somebody please help me understand this? What is this world coming to? Our children are confused enough, don’t you think? Have I missed something here? God forbid … who now do we believe? The Tooth Fairy? Nah, the Easter Bunny. Signed, Santa Claus.
