On Aug. 14 my daughter fainted at the outlet mall. In the fall she suffered a shoulder injury and several severe cuts on her face. This was a frightening situation, but there were some fantastic people who came to her aid.
A nurse named Holly tended to her and stayed with her until the paramedics arrived. My daughter was so comforted and awed that she gave so much of herself and her time.
The paramedics were also exceptional in their care and compassion. One of them helped me find a parking spot because he knew I was distraught. Another young man led me to my daughter with his arm guiding me gently.
This was all incredible and then came the last angel. I needed to get my daughter some food before we went to the clinic. I walked in the food court to find huge lines. Against my nature, I asked a lady if I could cut in front of her. She talked to me kindly and with comforting words until the end of the line. She really helped me to calm down.
Thank you also to Starbucks for providing water and a place to sit.
This was a bad situation, but made so much easier because of the extreme kindness of so many strangers with really big hearts.
