I found it very interesting the Kozy Tavern was claiming to be the last union beer bar in the county in an ad that ran in the Nov. 17 Arts and Entertainment section.
Kuhnle’s Tavern in Marysville is a union run tavern. It’s been owned by the Kuhnle family since 1918 when it was a saloon. During prohibition it was run as a poolroom, and when I moved here in 1989 I noticed the union sign hanging on the wall. It’s been my favorite watering hole ever since. They even have a beautiful original mahogany back bar that goes back to the turn of the century.
