We are proud to endorse Director Paul Lund for the Lake Stevens School Board. We believe that his long service and commitment to our learning have made a positive impact on our schools, and that his leadership will help us live up to our district’s mission: that we will be contributing members of society and lifelong learners, pursuing our passions and interests in an ever-changing world.
As the Student Advisory Council, our main goal is making sure student voices in our district are heard and influencing decisions the student board may make that could impact student lives. This means making sure students know about the decisions our district makes, and that our district leaders understand our — the students’ — concerns and needs. We attend and participate in school board meetings, and the decisions the board makes have a direct impact on our lives. Over the past year, we have appreciated the ways Director Lund supports us and keeps students at the center of all of the board’s decisions. Lund does this by asking meaningful questions and making sure the foundation for the decision is strong and positively influences the staff, administrators, and students.
The students are the most important part of our schools. Director Lund understands that.
We are the members of the Lake Stevens School District Student Advisory Council and we wholeheartedly endorse Paul Lund for reelection to the Lake Stevens School District Board of Directors.
