Regarding Thursday’s “Seems Like Yesterday” column: Interesting that this footnote was published last week. (Twenty-five years ago) “Bayliner Marine Corp., of Arlington, the world’s largest manufacturer of pleasure boats, was acquired by Brunswick Corp. in a deal worth $425 million. Brunswick had no plans to move the headquarters or alter its 1,000-worker local manufacturing operation, said George Sullivan, the company’s vice president of marketing.”
On Monday, Brunswick gave layoff notices to all of the few remaining Bayliner employees in Arlington.
