Let’s not judge customers, ladies

Regarding the Wednesday letter, “Community needs to say ‘cover up’”:

Where does this lady get off trying to “force” her morals off onto the rest of the community? And I take offense at her stating that “the majority of people who go to these ‘sex-spresso’ stands are older, perverted men.” In all the driving I do, I have never seen one of these ladies out “flashing” any skin to passing drivers. I’m curious, does she stand outside these stands and poll each coffee drinker on sex and age? And how does she know if they are a pervert or not? And how come it is only old men who are perverted?

Obviously, if she is upset about the attire these young women wear then she, certainly, should not go to any beach on a sunny day for she may see young women in skimpy bikinis there, too. And what about the boys who wear their pants down so low that half their underwear shows? Does that not bother her too? What about the women who wear tops that cover, maybe, half their bra, does that not look disgusting, too?

Come on, get with the times. Live and let live. If there are things in your life that offend you, then by all means, avoid them. How are you going to respond to your two daughters when they grow up to be teenagers and they want to buy a bikini so they can wear swimwear the same as all their friends?
