I had an idea, which I am passing around my neighborhood and my workplace, and I wanted to see if The Herald would maybe use it this week. Sunday marks the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 and I thought it would be a nice thought, if, in respect for those who lost their lives that day, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, everyone would place a lighted candle, preferably a flameless (battery operated) candle, on their front porch.
What a wonderful thought, putting out lights of hope into the night for all to see and remember what we, as a nation, are all about. It’s just an idea; please use it as your own if you would like.
