Seems begging for money is the way to go these days by the government, special interests and the homeless. If something goes wrong in your life, talk to the media and it will double the amount of your troubles every time.
Do the intelligent people in our cities ever mention on the news about programs to give the homeless jobs? The truth is that half of homeless people don’t want or can’t hold a job. They want everything free! There is too much free available and it makes it too easy for them not to try to better themselves. Nothing is ever totally free. Someone is paying and will be paying much more later. Most homeless people don’t like to be told where to go or what to do, even if it would benefit them.
I think the program to supervise drug use in the care of doctors doesn’t solve the problem of addiction. It does, however, take it off the street and helps to dispose of needles. That is good, but how many addicts is it really going to help? Is it enabling them more than helping?
