Letter: Gun owners may need to step up

Another case of a good guy with a gun could have or should have stopped a bad guy with a gun during Friday’s shooting at the Cascade Mall in Burlington.

A guy with a rifle in a mall would be both pretty obvious and a big red flag to react to. Are we to the point where, with all the lone wolf terrorism, threats from ISIS and random shootings, that more of us who are willing need to be ultra alert, licensed, trained and armed?
