Letter writer misses mark

Following the logic of John Slusher’s letter, Vice President Al Gore should have resigned from his position before running for president all the while using Air Force 2 for his jaunts around the country. Joe Lieberman should have resigned from his position as a senator from Connecticut before running for vice-president. Of course, Joe had so much confidence in the Democratic ticket that he ran for reelection at the same time as running for vice president! If I were a resident of Connecticut, I would ask for my money back since Mr. Lieberman barely showed his face in the Senate after the Democrat convention, all the while drawing a paycheck! In fact, following Mr. Slusher’s logic, the only one eligible to run for national office was Dick Cheney who wasn’t holding any political office! John Slusher demonstrates the typical Democratic voter.
