Isn’t it interesting that a state employee would want to get rid of Tim Eyman? (, “State Spending: Lose Eyman but fix state’s tax structure,” Letters, Dec. 26). Let me see, almost 60 percent of the people voted for his initiative. Don’t blame Eyman. Blame the voters. This is exactly why the voters passed his initiative. The average state employee makes $42,000 a year, almost double what the state average is.
Letter writer Patrick Switzer makes several dumb statements. Why should Bill Gates pay all the taxes? Why doesn’t Mr. Switzer invent and develop a new product that will revolutionize the world? Then he can pay all the taxes.
I find it very interesting that Mr. Switzer and the other state employees who write to complain never state what they make off the taxpayers.
