Little hope of saving anything

I was somewhat amused reading the Monday letter to the editor, “Saving forest would be good investment.”

To think that The McNaughton Group and the Master Builders of Snohomish County have anything but their own interests in mind is pure fantasy. To sponsor and have representatives attend the Cascade Land Conservancy awards does present an aura of good will but, in my opinion, it is all one big smokescreen to cover for a complete lack of interest in the environment.

They have had our esteemed county council members and executive under their spell for quite some time and since voters have chosen to re-elect them, things are not likely to change anytime soon.

I think that Mr. Reardon has already been in negotiations with The McNaughton Group, and not to talk about saving any lands for future generations to enjoy. I am afraid that we have already lost any hope to preserve anything for any future generations to come. Let the building and devastation commence.
