Thank you for publishing news on the upcoming party on August 30 celebrating the opening of four new light rail stations; one in Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace and two in Shoreline (“Party planned for Lynnwood light rail as opening nears,” The Herald, July 25).
And kudos to Sound Transit’s excellent outreach and marketing team for “getting the word out” about the planned party at a musical event last Thursday sponsored by the city of Mountlake Terrace.
I was with a group of seniors and we were delighted to hear about the celebration and also happy about the reduced fares for seniors. Great information brochures and even little cardboard miniature trains for children were provided to attendees.
