Why is this corporate takeover of The Herald and its layoffs happening and why now?
Does this combine with the development of AM radio networks and right wing talk radio throughout rural and small town America since 1968?
Are we seeing a landscape scale media takeover to support the 2025 Heritage Foundation agenda?
My question, thinking about this is, If the most wealthy among the human population are uniquely in a position to eat the earth, then will they not be surprised to find themselves living in a world of waste? Is that not what will result from newspapers being hobbled, public schools degraded, books banned and the enlightened public dumbed down?
It would seem that a civilized view of the future would be more in accord with that of the founding fathers, a view in which the free press was the most valued cornerstone of the entire republic’s foundation and debate fueling the free and open marketplace of ideas. I would argue that it may be more accurate to have been called a declaration of interdependence if by considering independence to be every man or woman for himself or herself, then society eats itself instead of building itself up.
This 1-percenter leadership seems to have been convinced to invest in diamond-studded exclusive brand blinders.
