Lovick’s selections signal good start

Let me start this letter by stating that I was a stauch supporter of Tom Greene for sheriff. That said, I feel it important to give kudos to Sheriff-elect John Lovick for his staff selections. Two of the most important early functions for a new sheriff are to select a good staff and listen to them. He has obviously been sucessful in the first half.

As a retired chief deputy, I know all of the people he is appointing and recognize them all as persons seen as future leaders of the Sheriff’s Office. I anticipate they will far exceed the job that I did in those positions. I had serious concerns about Mr. Lovick as sheriff but he is quickly putting those concerns to rest and deserves a strong A-plus for his staff appointments.
